Mosquito and tick season — when to plan outdoor spraying

The effectiveness of outdoor spraying depends on timing. Here’s when to plan a treatment around a facility, a garden or a recreation area.

With the warm months, mosquitoes, ticks and blackflies return. On green areas, around facilities and in leisure spots they can make a space genuinely hard to use.

Why timing matters

Outdoor spraying reduces the insect population in a given area, but its effectiveness depends on the insects’ life cycle and the weather. A treatment carried out too early or too late gives a weaker result.

How we plan the treatment

  1. We inspect the site and identify the zones where insects live.
  2. We match the timing to the conditions and agree the safety rules.
  3. If needed, we plan a repeat treatment during the season.
