An EKO-TOX in-house system
RODENT — rodent control without poison
Live-catch traps with our own electronics and LoRaWAN connectivity. Instead of poison and monthly guesswork: a notification the moment a rodent is caught, and a full evidence trail for audit day.
- Designed and made in Poland
- No rodenticides
- LoRaWAN connectivity
- Integrated with CERBER
The starting point
Classic rodent control has three weak spots
A bait station works blind. You have no idea whether anything happened inside until a technician opens it at the next inspection — and weeks pass between inspections. By then a rodent has settled into the building, and you find out from a customer complaint or from the auditor’s report.
On top of that comes regulatory pressure. European rules increasingly restrict the preventive use of rodenticides, and retail chains and quality systems ask the question directly: what are you replacing poison with in food contact zones?
-
Delay, not response
The event is discovered at the next inspection — on average a couple of weeks after the fact.
-
Chemistry just in case
Product sits in every station as a precaution, including where nothing is happening at all.
-
Evidence on paper
Readings copied out by hand are harder to defend in front of an auditor than a system record.
How RODENT works
From capture to notification in seconds
Every trap carries our board with a sensor and a transmitter. It needs no Wi-Fi, no cabling and no mobile coverage in the basement.
- 01
The trap catches live
The mechanism closes without poison and without killing the animal — the technician decides what happens next, in line with the site’s procedure.
- 02
The sensor detects the event
Our board recognises that the trap has closed and immediately prepares a message.
- 03
LoRaWAN carries the signal out
Long-range radio gets through walls and floors where ordinary networks do not reach — from basements, production halls and high-bay warehouses.
- 04
The system notifies and records
The alert reaches our software and the site documentation in CERBER — with the date, time and control point number.
What is inside
Our own electronics, our own code
RODENT is not assembled from off-the-shelf modules. We designed the board ourselves and wrote the software from scratch — which is why it evolves at the pace of our clients’ needs rather than an external supplier’s roadmap.
-
In-house printed circuit board
Designed and manufactured in Poland for one specific scenario: many points in a single facility, years of operation, no day-to-day handling.
-
LoRaWAN connectivity
A long-range, low-power standard — one gateway covers the whole site, with no cabling run to every single trap.
-
EKO-TOX software
Point overview, event history and notifications. No third-party licence, no waiting on someone else’s product roadmap.
-
CERBER integration
Events flow straight into the site documentation that generates reports and intervention history.
What changes
Benefits you can see in the paperwork and in the invoice
-
No poison
Food contact zones
Monitoring works where rodenticide is a liability — and there are fewer safety data sheets to keep track of.
-
Immediate
Time to detection
A notification instead of waiting for the next inspection. Response measured in hours, not weeks.
-
Fewer visits
Routine inspections
The technician goes where something actually happened, instead of walking past empty stations one by one.
-
System record
Evidence for the auditor
Date, time and point number recorded automatically — nothing copied from a notebook.
Polish engineering
Designed, coded and built in Poland
RODENT was created inside a company that has been walking into plants, warehouses and basements every day since 1993. It is not an idea from a slide deck — it answers problems our technicians reported for years.
The whole chain is ours: electronics design, board manufacturing in Poland, software and on-site deployment. A fix requested by a client on Monday does not sit in a queue at a foreign manufacturer.

Questions
Questions about RODENT
Can’t find your question here? Write to us — we answer the tricky ones too.
Does RODENT replace rodent control entirely?
It replaces its most troublesome part — the preventive spreading of poison. You still need a baseline audit, proofing of entry routes and a technician who responds to an event. RODENT makes that response immediate and documented.
Will it work in a basement or a hall with no coverage?
Yes, and that is exactly why we chose LoRaWAN. It is a long-range, low-power link that gets through floors and walls where mobile networks and Wi-Fi fail. We confirm coverage at your specific site by measuring it before deployment.
What happens to the captured rodent?
The trap catches live — the animal is contained, not poisoned. What happens next is agreed with the site, in line with applicable regulations and the facility’s procedures.
How long does the power last and what is the range?
RODENT is in the testing phase, with the system launch planned for spring/summer 2027. We will publish power and range figures once on-site testing is complete.
Can the system be bought without a service contract?
We will announce deployment and cooperation terms before the launch planned for spring/summer 2027. If you would like to learn about the project earlier, get in touch.
See RODENT in your own facility
We will arrange a demo and measure coverage on site. And we will tell you plainly whether it makes sense in your building — and in which zones.
